2017 TSB Update: What Are The Top TSBs?

The free 30-minute webinar on July 20th, 2017, will discuss how technologies like stop/start, dual-clutch transmissions and other advanced systems impact repair shops. The webinar will also cover the top TSBs for vehicles that are out of warranty.

In the first six months of 2017, OEMs issued more than 3,000 pieces of information to augment existing service information. These documents include recalls, technical service bulletins (TSB) and service advisories. To help shops navigate this information, Brake & Front End, Import Car and Underhood Service will conduct a 30-minute webinar to discuss the top TSBs of 2017 on July 20th, 2017. There is no cost for the webinar thanks to Federated Auto Parts.

Andrew Markel, director of content for Brake & Front End, ImportCar and Underhood Service, will be the host for the webinar and will share his unique insights into the latest TSBs and how they will shape your approach to diagnosing vehicles at your shop.

“With the volume of information coming from the OEMs it can be difficult to determine if a TSB is relevant to a problem or symptom,” said Markel. “In some case, it might take multiple TSBs to get the complete picture of a problem or trend.”

The training event will discuss how technologies like stop/start, dual-clutch transmissions and other advanced systems impact repair shops. The webinar will also cover the top TSBs for vehicles that are out of warranty.

“One of the top trends for all manufacturers’ TSBs is reflashing and new software. Some of these updates cover vehicles that are more than 10 years old,” said Markel. “These updates can be vital in resolving emissions and even brake pad wear problems.”
