2015-'16 Auto Care Association Head Of The Class Award Winners Announced

2015-’16 Auto Care Association Head Of The Class Award Winners Announced

Auto-Care-Association-Logo-300x154The Auto Care Association has announced the recipients of its 2015-‘16 Head of the Class Award, honoring three auto care industry companies that continually invest in employee education and training. The award is administered by the Auto Care Association Education Committee on behalf of the association, and promotes the value and benefit that investment in education and training provides to employees and their companies, as well as the entire auto care industry.

For the 2015-‘16 award, companies were awarded by size not company category, as in previous years.

The 2015 winners, designated by company size, are:

• Small Size Company: Dynamic Automotive, Frederick, Maryland
• Mid-Size Company: Automotive Supply Associates, Inc.,/Sanel Auto Parts Co., Concord, New Hampshire
• Large Company: Robert Bosch LLC: Automotive Aftermarket Division North America Division

Winners were selected based on the education and training practices of the company, including what prompted the company to invest in training, the types of training accomplished, the initial goals, their experiences, results of the training and any future plans. Each of the winning companies exhibited a dedicated and continuing investment in enhancing the quality and level of learning and skill development for employees in their companies.

“The three companies winning this year’s award offer access to exemplary education and training programs for their employees,” said Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO, Auto Care Association. “They demonstrate that a company of any size can meet the knowledge, skills, career and personal needs of their most important asset – their staff. Each company will tell you that as a result of their investment in employee continuous learning, the short-term results are increased teamwork, efficiency, customer service and sales, while at the same time fostering long-term and lasting relationships for the future of their company.”

The award recipients were recognized yesterday (Sept. 10) during the Auto Care Association’s Fall Leadership Days in Austin, Texas. They received an award to display at their place of business and information on their winning programs will be posted on a special page on the Auto Care Association website. More information about these companies and their education initiatives will be featured in upcoming issues of Auto Care Insider.
