Hunter’s Auto34 Tire Changer includes unique features, automated functions and a powerful, high-torque motor to service wheels up to 34 inches in diameter safely and easily.

The Auto34 features a unique, patented tool head design. The ultra-thin,vertical shape of the tool head automatically slips easily between the rim and tire sidewall and extracts the bead gently in one fluid down and up motion without the use of bead levers. The slim tool head design and elimination of levers reduce tension on the bead and ease overall operation.

The powerful, high-torque electric motor exerts more than 850 foot-pounds of torque to mount even the most stubborn beads. The variable-speed, pedal-controlled drive system gives the technician the ability to control the amount of force needed to service a tire at the most efficient speed while guarding against damage.

The center support clamping table and self-centering quick clamp give the Auto34 the flexibility to easily mount a vast variety of wheels up to 34 inches in diameter. The clamping table can be adjusted to three different heights to allow the technician to work at the most effective position and eliminate the need for flange plates to service most reverse drop-center wheels. The oscillating turntable includes a cam plate that automatically immobilizes the rim during mounting and demounting operations to prevent slippage.

The hydraulic bead loosening roller system gently rolls the tire off or on the rim under complete command of the operator. The precise control and proximity sensor integrated into the roller arm allow the bead to be broken close to the edge of the rim, protecting the tire sidewall and any pressure sensors. The proximity sensors automatically reduce the roller approach speed during positioning and automatically activate its radial penetration movement, simplifying bead breaking. The rollers are also strong enough to hold the tire stationary while the rim is rotated to complete match-mounting procedures.

The Bead Press Arm is a useful aid for even faster mounting of difficult tires. The Bead Press Arm can be used to push a stiff sidewall tire into the drop-center of a rim and keep it in position as the wheel rotates when demounting or mounting, greatly reducing risk of bead damage.

Tool head, bead roller and clamping table operation use simple controls that are easy to learn and promote fast, efficient service. Only three switches and one foot pedal control virtually all tire changing operations, ensuring the same simple operation on all wheels regardless of the size, design or fitment.

The optional pneumatic wheel lift helps technicians mount wheels, preventing potential injuries and fatigue from manually lifting heavy wheels into place. The pedal-controlled wheel lift quickly raises the wheel and automatically positions it over the clamps for easy mounting. The technician’s hands are free to control the wheel assembly once it is lifted into the mounting position.
