Transtar Introduces New Automatic Transmission Parts Catalog

Transtar Industries Inc.
recently released its 2018 Automatic Transmission Parts Catalog. The catalog has coverage through model year 2017.

Transtar’s all-inclusive 1,400-page catalog features 35 new transmission families, representing 74 transmission applications. The all-new power grid charts simplify the identification and position of hard parts in the transmission. In addition, the new catalog offers comprehensive listings of OE and aftermarket fluid for each transmission, as well as citing torque converters and flexplates by transmission application.

“Excellence is our standard, and our 2018 Automatic Parts Catalog has certainly hit the mark,” said Kevin Rozsa, Transtar’s vice president of supply chain and international. “From the content to product descriptions and images, to supplier information, this catalog will soon become a must-have for transmission rebuilders everywhere.”

Transtar also partnered with Sonnax for another new feature in this catalog: Valve Body exploded views. As transmissions become more complex, diagnosing and repairing electronics and electrical systems is a necessary part of the rebuild process, says the company. The detailed views of the valve bodies are provided to take the guesswork out of valve body rebuilding. In addition, solenoid charts are listed, when available, for ease of solenoid identification and ordering.

“The development of this catalog was many months in the making and represents thousands of hours in development,” said Rozsa. “Our team of industry experts has definitely outdone themselves with this catalog. In the coming months, customers can expect to see this catalog content rolled out in Transend, our intelligent parts ordering system.”
