MAHLE Service Solutions Outfits Kia Dealers With TechPRO Integrated ArcticPRO ACX1299 A/C Unit

MAHLE-ACX1299-KIA-CMYKMAHLE Service Solutions recently completed an agreement with Kia Motors America (KMA) to supply its more than 750 dealerships across the U.S. with the ArcticPRO ACX1299 A/C machine, a specialized version of the ArcticPRO ACX1285. The ACX1285/1299 received the “Best Use of Technology” new product award at the 2016 Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide Trade Show in Orlando, Florida.

As part of the MAHLE Service Solutions line of SMART A/C units, the ACX1299 is fully-automatic to recover, vacuum, leak test and charge the new worldwide standard R1234yf refrigerant. The unit is fully integrated with a version of the TechPRO diagnostic scan tool software for complete and accurate A/C diagnostics and HVAC system testing for determining system failure.

With the ACX1299 Kia’s technicians enjoy automatic decoding of vehicle identification numbers (VINs), the ability to monitor service via smart phone apps, and read diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) in seconds with the Bluetooth-enabled vehicle communication interface (VCI). The 7-inch LCD touch screen provides intuitive menus and graphic displays of pressures, weights and temperatures, as well as guided diagnostics and integrated warranty claim processing, for optimized interactivity. ACX1299 recovers over 95 percent of automobile A/C system refrigerant, with easy access for service and maintenance tasks.

“One of the attractive features for dealerships and large service networks is the unit’s customized reports that compile cross-workshop metrics in a professional manner that can be easily shared with customers,” said Andreas Huber, general manager, MAHLE Services Solutions. “The ACX1299 also has remote service capabilities, along with the ability to extend the unit to an external display for efficient insight into data and increased technician productivity.”
