BORLA Performance Industries has announced the introduction of new products designed exclusively for the latest generation Chevrolet Camaro. The new exhaust systems were developed individually for the Camaro 3.6L V6 and 2.0L Turbo models, including models with the Chevrolet Dual Mode exhaust function, and they follow the recent introduction of performance exhaust systems for the Camaro SS 6.2L V8 model.

Designed from scratch at BORLA’s Research and Development Center in Oxnard, CA, and manufactured in the USA at its state-of-the-art facility in Johnson City, TN, BORLA drew on its extensive history of innovation to develop exhaust systems for all versions of the 2016 Camaro that offer an exciting sound, enhanced performance and great styling.

With the announcement, the new BORLA exhaust systems expand the range of purpose-built performance products designed exclusively for the 2016 Camaro by focusing on the 3.6L V6 and the 2.0L Turbo models. As with all BORLA products, the new 2.25” diameter exhaust systems are designed to be drone-free, and made by hand from aerospace-grade, T-304 stainless steel for great durability.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

• Designed specifically and individually for the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro 3.6L V6 and 2.0L Turbo models
• Manufactured from T-304 stainless steel for lasting durability
• OE-standard, high-quality engineering and stainless steel construction allows BORLA Million Mile Warranty
• Oversized exhaust tips available in two-tip and four-tip (Dual Mode) configurations
• Exhaust system available with BORLA ATAK or S-Type muffler options
• Touring resonator option available for reduced sound level
• Drone-free muffler design reduces driver fatigue on long journeys
• BORLA mufflers are available with valve technology to allow continued use of the Chevrolet Dual Mode exhaust function

Consistent with the entire line of BORLA exhaust systems, the new Camaro mufflers are available for a variety of applications. These include two- and four-tip rear sections, a Y-pipe center section, ATAK and S-Type muffler technology, Performance and Touring mid-pipe options, plus muffler options with BORLA exhaust valves to allow continued used of the Chevrolet factory Dual Mode exhaust function. These different configurations give the car owner a fantastic array of options for both sound and budget.

The new exhaust systems offer both increased performance and sound over the stock system thanks to its less restrictive design. They can also be specified for models with or without the factory Dual Mode (NPP) exhaust valve function, said the company.

Cars fitted with the Dual Mode function can opt for ATAK or S-Type mufflers that incorporate BORLA’s own exhaust valve technology. This replaces the factory valves and allows owners to continue to enjoy the benefits of the Dual Mode button, with the ability to alter the noise level the car makes, albeit at a different volume thanks to the new BORLA mufflers.

Regardless of the spec of your Camaro V6 or four-cylinder Turbo, all owners can choose between the patented BORLA ATAK mufflers, with their full-blooded exhaust note that allows drivers to clearly hear and enjoy the performance of their car. The BORLA S-Type mufflers offer a more restrained exhaust note but still create a great sound and offer similar levels of performance increase.

A third option for owners of the 2.0L Turbo is the Touring Mid Pipe. This resonator can be fitted upstream of the mufflers to attenuate the sound and provide drivers with a milder output from either muffler option.

Further option in this modular exhaust concept include a Performance Mid Pipe for the Camaro V6 and 2.0L Turbo, as well as a Performance Down Pipe for the four-cylinder car, which is strictly for competition use only.
