(ATLANTA) March 13, 2008 - Building on last year's successful relationship, NAPA AUTO PARTS announced today it will partner with the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association for the second straight year.
As the "Official Auto Parts Store of Goodguys," NAPA AUTO PARTS will title sponsor the 2nd NAPA Southern Nationals (June 13-15 in Atlanta), title sponsor the "NAPA Trick Truck" award at every event, and bring its mobile store to all 24 events. (It also means that there will be plenty of NAPA swag at the events.)
"The 70,000 members that comprise the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association are as knowledgeable and passionate about cars as any group of automotive enthusiasts in the country," said NAPA AUTO PARTS President Bob Susor.
"Every member takes great pride in using only the best parts for their vehicle and NAPA is equally proud to supply these quality parts."
The NAPA Trick Truck Award will be given to one vehicle at each event that demonstrates the creativity, professionalism and quality reflective of both NAPA and Goodguys.
The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association promotes and produces some of the world's most dynamic automotive events. Founded by lifelong hot-rodder Gary Meadors in 1983, Goodguys events feature thousands of candy colored hot rods and custom cars sprawled throughout venues such as lush fairgrounds, super speedways and large outdoor stadiums. The cars, the vendor exhibits, the live entertainment and colorful people create a festive atmosphere charged with electricity.
This 2008 Goodguys event schedule kicks-off March 15-16 in Costa Mesa, Calif., and concludes November 14-16 in Scottsdale, Ariz. A full event schedule is available at
